The FACEBOOK page "E-Verify Rhode Island" was created by RIILE for those citizens and legal immigrants who have had enough with ILLEGAL immigration.  This page will deal with e-verify only.  For all other immigration related topics please refer to the RIILE Facebook page.  We are ready to fight back against RI's Sanctuary policy of pandering to the illegal alien community and to providing aid and comfort to this illegal presence,  We are here to share ideas on how to finally rid our state of this unnecessary burden.  We realize that without this presence we can fix our roads and bridges and better fund our educational system.  We can make our roads safer from illegal aliens best by removing them from our state.  We CAN make this happen!  We CAN make a difference!  Let's do it!!!

Ask R.I. State Legislators to Oppose Driving Privileges for Illegal Alien

This is a special message for NumbersUSA members in Rhode Island.

Dear Rhode Island activist,

Legislation is under consideration in the Rhode Island House (H7610) and Senate (S2333) that would allow illegal aliens to apply for driving privilege licenses. The measure would make it easier for illegal aliens to hold jobs that should be reserved of citizens and legal residents and entice more to move to the state.

Nearly 37 percent of the illegal-alien population live in the 11 jurisdictions that offer driver's licenses, and five of the 11 have a greater percentage of illegal aliens than the national average of 3.5 percent -- namely California (6.3 percent), Illinois (3.7 percent), Maryland (4.3 percent), Nevada (7.6 percent), and Utah (3.6 percent).

Please contact House Speaker Mattiello, Senate President Paiva Weed, the chairmen of the House and Senate Judiciary Committees and your state legislators to ask them to oppose driving privilege licenses for illegal aliens. Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Contacting the House Speaker and Senate President

Please call and email House Speaker Nicholas Mattiello -- 401-222-2466; rep-mattiello@rilegislature.gov -- and Senate President Teresa Paiva Weed -- 401) 222-6655; sen-paivaweed@rilegislature.gov -- using the talking points below. If you are a constituent of either, it is critical to mention it.

"As a Rhode Island voter, I respectfully ask that you use the power of your office to stop (H7610 or S2333). Giving Rhode Island driving privileges to illegal aliens will not make the public safer, but it will increase fraud and encourage more to reside here.

The best way to increase highway safety and protect vulnerable Rhode Islanders who compete with illegal aliens for jobs is to prevent them from driving in our state. Please opt instead to increase penalties for driving without a license."

Contacting the Judiciary Committee Chairmen

Please call and email House Judiciary Chairman Cale Keable (401-222-2258; rep-keable@rilegislature.gov) and Senate Judiciary Chairman Michael J. McCaffrey (401-739-7576; sen-mccaffrey@rilegislature.gov) with the talking points below. If you are a constituent of either, it is critical to mention it.

"As a Rhode Island voter, I respectfully ask that you remove (H7610 or S2333) from further consideration in committee.

Contacting your State Representative and Senator

Please find a phone number and email address for your Representative and Senator at these links. If you do not know their names, use this "find your legislator" page.

"I am a voter in your district who wants you to oppose (H7610 or S2333). Giving Rhode Island driving privileges to illegal aliens will not make your constituents public safer, but it will increase fraud and encourage more to reside here. Please tell (Speaker Mattiello or Senate President Paiva Weed) and your Judiciary Committee Chairman to pull the bill from consideration."

More Talking Points for Emailing

Businesses that hire cheap illegal labor in lieu of American workers have pushed for this legislation so their unlawful employees can easily drive to work. The Rhode Island legislature should NOT help these businesses or the illegal aliens who hold jobs that rightfully belong to citizens.

The best way to increase highway safety and protect vulnerable Rhode Islanders who compete with illegal aliens for jobs is to prevent them from driving in our state. Please opt instead to increase penalties for driving without a license.
